Frequently Asked Questions

What do I wear to the auction?
The theme this year is Aces & Eights, inspired by the movie Maverick with Jodie Foster and Mel Gibson - so make it a movie night and check it out! At the auction, wear your favorite cowboy or cowgirl attire and have fun with it!

What are the proceeds used for?
This event is dedicated to covering school operations costs that are not fully funded by tuition fees. It helps to keep our school affordable and accessible for students who need it, and it helps to compensate our very talented teachers fairly.

How do I pay?
When you purchase tickets - whether a free admission or with a tailgate dinner - you will be asked to enter your credit card information. This will be the credit card used for anything you bid on (and buy) during the auction.

Definitions

If you are new to the St. Anthony auction, you may be hearing lots of buzz words that are unfamiliar. Here are a few terms and definitions that can help.

Free Dress Day Passes: Available for purchase for your students during the silent auction.

Fund-A-Need -or- Paddle Raise: Cash donation opportunity during the live auction when guests can dedicate set amounts of funds to a specific need at the school.

Golden Ticket Raffle: A chance to win $5,000 off tuition for the 2023-2024 school year! The number of tickets are limited to 75, so players increase their odds of winning by purchasing multiple tickets.  The winner is announced during the live auction. Purchase tickets here!

Live Art Auction: Our students have created masterpieces that will be sold during the live auction. The auctioneer will conduct live bidding for each of the pieces.

Live Auction: The main event of auction night. An auctioneer will present items that will be bid on - live - until the item is “sold” to the highest bidder. Special presentations and Fund-A-Need Paddle Raises are also a part of this event.

Procurement: Obtaining donations for the auction. Our procurement team sends out letters to businesses and local contacts asking for donations and collects them in the auction office to be organized into baskets that go up for bid on auction night. Parents can also procure items by seeking donations or purchasing items needed. A procurement form helps to keep track of each item donor and value.
